Give me my scallop-shell of quiet,
My staff of faith to walk upon,
My script of joy, immortal diet,
M
y bottle of salvation.
My gown of glory, hopes true gauge,
And thus I'll take my pilgrimage.

~Sir Walter Raleigh

A hiker, walking for pleasure, likes to choose between several alluring trails.
The pilgrim desires only the road that leads home.

Words For The Day~

What might those words be on a common Monday turned uncommon?
For starters, how about "enlarge", or "expand"?

What an amazing gift and ability the human heart gives.

In this family, the mere mention of the word "baby" and all begins to glow.
And then the wonder happens, a new arrival is foretold and the enlargement and expansion of the heart begins. It can be truly felt. It would seem that contrary emotions would occur and thoughts of 'how can I make room for another?' But no! Suddenly there is 'increased capacity', 'an opening wide', a 'spreading out'.

It goes without saying that the banner word for such times as this is: JOY!

We are dizzy with anticipation once again as we watch and wait.

Great-grand-nan. What a lovely phrase!
