Give me my scallop-shell of quiet,
My staff of faith to walk upon,
My script of joy, immortal diet,
M
y bottle of salvation.
My gown of glory, hopes true gauge,
And thus I'll take my pilgrimage.

~Sir Walter Raleigh

The pilgrim desires only the road that leads home.

Spring Holiday

"I meant to do my work today,
But a brown bird sang in the apple tree,
And a butterfly flitted across the field,
And all the leaves were calling me.
And the wind went sighing over the land,
Tossing the grasses to and fro,
And a rainbow held out its shining hand,
So what could I do but laugh and go?"

Well, truth to tell, first of all, 'Spring' as such has yet to come to the Northwest.

And second, it is really an adventure that calls. Off with a very dear friend, kindred spirit and much loved daughter to the Eastern part of our state.

Its a girly thing. And I'm excited.

This is something done very seldom in my life. Of course, there is no leaving until bright sticky notes fly from all the pre-fixed food in the fridge and the marshmallow canister is full.

All is in readiness now so wish us well. My keyboard will sit quietly until we return, Lord willing, first of next week.

Till then, wishes of great joy extended to one and all.
